V. Integration of Education for Sustainable Development to Literature

               As a simple student, I can help save the environment.These are some simple ways:
1. Reduce.Reuse.Recycle
      Dispose wastes properly .Recycle cans, paper and glass. Wear your brother or sister's old clothes. Buy products with minimal plastic wrapping. Do your marketing with basket, don't be dependent of cellophanes.


2. Reduce the use of fossil fuel.
      Turnoff the lights when not in use. Buy compact fluorescent lights to replace incandescent bulbs. Reduce time watching TV or playing video games or any unnecessary activities that requires the use of electricity. Do car pooling to reduce fuels. Let in some fresh air in your room instead of using air conditioner all the time.


3. Don't waste water.
      Drinkable and clean water is becoming more scarce. Producing clean and portable water requires the use of electricity. Only 1% of the wordl's water is drinkable. Almost 97% of the world's water is salty or is otherwise undrinkable. another 2% is locked in ice cups and glaciers.


4. Plant trees on idle lots.
      Trees make clean air for us to breathe. Absorbs carbon dioxide and prevent soil erosions, floods and landslides.
